Richmond Women’s Chorus


Welcome our new RWC Director Erin Wind! 

Erin Wind is native of Richmond, Virginia who holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (choral) from Longwood University and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Northern Iowa. During her school years Erin performed in the Camarata Singers and Chamber Singers at Longwood University, as well as the Concert Chorale and Cantorei at the University of Northern Iowa.

Since her graduation Erin has been active in the classical music community in Richmond where she currently resides. She has performed with local groups including Capitol Opera Richmond and was also a member of the Richmond Symphony Chorus. As a soloist, Erin appeared with the Northern Neck Orchestra in their performance of Gustav Maher’s Songs of a Wayfarer as well as with the Minnesota State Band performing the fourth movement of Gustav Mahler’s 4th Symphony. Currently, in addition to directing the Richmond Women’s Chorus, Erin is a member of the Piedmont Singers, is an alto section leader with Second Presbyterian Church, and is an active singer-songwriter and guitarist.

The Richmond Women’s Chorus is in its 9th Season!

Celebrating our ninth season, the Richmond Women’s Chorus promotes the strength, diversity, and empowerment of women by performing high quality music to inspire, entertain, educate, and unite our communities.

The Chorus performs music in a range of styles from traditional choral to contemporary pop; from serious to silly. We are open to all levels of singers, and provide resources including rehearsal CDs, sectional rehearsals, and workshops.

Come sing with us! We rehearse on Tuesday evenings in the auditorium at Imperial Plaza on the north side of Richmond at 7-9pm beginning in late August through our Spring concert. You are welcome to sit in on a rehearsal to see if we are the right chorus for you.
